Hospital Vibration Study
Dallas, TX U.S.A.
In collaboration with our partnering firm Armstrong-Douglass Structural Engineers, Sensequake conducted a week-long vibration study for the Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, prior to the installation of new equipment. After deploying Sensequake's wireless sensing system, the vibrations were studied to determine the levels and trends throughout the week, and compared to the acceptable levels defined by the manufacturer.
Vibration monitoring studies are critical prior to the installation of vibration-sensitive equipment. Hospital settings are highly prone to these concerns due to the many overlapping activities that occur within the facility, and the critical nature of the work being performed.
Thanks to the analysis, the team was able to confirm compliance with the recommendations and avoid future damage to the equipment or costly renovations.
