The REM is a major light-rail system currently being constructed in Montreal, Canada. Due to the heavy construction needed for a rail system of this magnitude, nearby critical structures that are sensitive need to be properly monitored to avoid damages.

Sensequake was given the mandate to track the vibrations over the span of multiple weeks outdoors near the construction zone. Additionally, this structure housed a pharmaceutical company where many interior pieces of equipment required sub-millimetre precision which could be compromised with excessive vibrations. This objective was achieved using our battery-powered sensors. Post-analysis, we were able to monitor the vibrations and highlight the peak velocities for the client, protecting their assets and surrounding assets in the area from strong vibrations due to construction.
